PUB Converter is run by Wayfr. Your files are used only to make your converted files. Nobody looks at them, and they are deleted 24 hours after upload.
Your files
- When you upload a .pub file, our server stores it and the files it makes from it: PDF, Word, PowerPoint and PNG.
- The conversion runs automatically on our server. No person opens, reads or looks at your files.
- Your files are not shared with anyone and are not used to train AI or for any other purpose.
- All uploaded and converted files are deleted 24 hours after upload. The deletion check runs every 5 minutes, so a file may stay up to 5 minutes longer than 24 hours. Temporary copies made during a conversion are deleted when that conversion ends.
- Anyone who has the web address of your results page can see your files until they are deleted. Share that address only with people you trust.
Payments
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- From Stripe we receive and keep your email address, the plan you bought, the amount, the date, Stripe's payment reference, the link to your files and, for the 30-day plan, your access code.
- We use your email address only to send you your links and code, and to answer you if you write to us. We do not send newsletters or marketing email.
- We delete these purchase records 90 days after the purchase.
Emails we send
- After you pay, we email you a receipt with the link to your files and, for the 30-day plan, your access code.
- If you use the Get your links again page, we email the links and codes for purchases made with that email address in the last 90 days. If no purchase matches, we send nothing.
- These emails are sent through Resend, an email delivery service, which receives your email address and the message.
Contact form
- Messages you send through the contact form are emailed to us through Resend, with the email address you enter so we can reply. They are not stored on the website's server.
- To stop spam, the server counts how many messages come from each internet address for one hour. These counts are kept in memory only, which means they are never written to a file or a database and disappear when the server restarts.
Cookies
- We set a cookie called pc_code only if you buy the 30-day plan or enter an access code. It remembers your code for 30 days so your uploads unlock.
- PostHog, our analytics tool, sets a cookie whose name starts with ph_ and ends with _posthog. It counts visits and holds a random ID, not your name or email address.
- Stripe sets its own cookies on its payment page.
Analytics
- We use PostHog to count page views and these steps: upload, preview shown, checkout started, purchase, download and contact message sent.
- Your browser sends your internet address to PostHog, which uses it to estimate your country and city.
- We do not record your screen or mouse. We do not send file names, file contents or your email address to PostHog.
- Your results page address ends in a long code, which is the part that lets someone open your files. We remove that code before anything is sent to PostHog.
Where data is kept
- Our server and your files are at Railway, our hosting provider, in the United States. Railway keeps request logs (such as internet address, page address and time) under its own policy.
- PostHog, Resend and Stripe process the data listed above in their own systems.
Your choices
- To have your purchase record deleted before 90 days, or to ask what we hold about you, use the contact form.
